ok guys this is how i did it i picked up the front spindle assemblys from a 85 yota...cut the bump of my stock mazda lower controal arm...welded in all the stock mazda baljoint mounting holes...reshaped both the upper and lower yota baljoints( the plates where they mount to the controals arms...lower was too long and the upper was to wide)...drilled new holes in the c arms making shure the baljoints were in the same physcial position as on a stock mazda........ and in a weekend you go from 6 to fivelug...once you have the new spindles it all makes sence..but damn those spindles were hard to find in canada.. oh yea the breaks you use all stock yota stuff ..

nytryder..i dont mean this to be taken the wrong way but..welds only break if there not made correctly made..just fillet the two surfaces get a nice deep v shaped groove all the way around the tie rod end mabe 5mil deep..heres the key lay a nice ,clean, penetrating, impurity free(you get the point) bead down and it will nevver ever even think of breaking...i fuigure if i can weld two halves of a truck togeather i can weld a tierodend togeather (IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING)

'bout a minute & a half late on the post....haha! tru bout the weldin, but if the person what might do this swap isn't a decent welder then it would be best for them to stick to the re-drillin, it would sux for a weld to break on a tie rod @ 50 mph & wreck!!
