I have a gut feeling that my sub box will be too much weight, plus me and a passenger for these roads. It weighs around 200lbs. So its no surprise I will bottom out on alot more things.

Which is why I would like to know whether or not I can still drive my truck without the 3inch blocks. And I also want to crank up the torsions to raise it to be level. Did'nt know if straight up leafs on axle is bad?

I already bottom out on many things with me and another person. It sure does'nt sound good to hear it grinding on pavement!

I LOVE TO HEAR THE SOUND OF GRINDING METAL, THATS WHY I BUILDEM SO LOW

I do plan on baggin' it. But unless someone can show me how to pull money out of your ass, specifically, around $2,000, then I have a while to wait before I can get it. At this moment, I have $0! Haha, so if you wanna sponsor me, I'd appreciate it, Haha.

I don't like to hear the sound of grinding metal, atleast not until I get dragblocks in. Because since I know I don't have dragblocks that grinding sound is my u-bolts and/or shocks wearing away! Can't really remove your u-bolts when the threads are mushroomed...

I appreciate your guys' feedback, but its not what I was hoping for, and I would just like a straightforward answer!

Why could you *not* drive without 3in blocks? Did your truck come stock with the leafs on the axel? Yes, yes it did. So if you remove the blocks your truck transforms into a stock non-lowered and completely driveable beast. i apologize if I took the question wrong.

It doesnt look like your ass end sits that low, the scraping your hearing is probly your frame. if you raise the front a bit you should be fine. you could also cut your U bolts down so they wont hit the ground. I had my torsions completly out with a mono leaf and 4in blocks and didnt scrap all that much. I couldnt go over speed bumps all that well but still made it over. If you look under your truck anything that scraps the gound will be ok, other than the U bolts but like I said just cut them down, that all I did. They never hit after that. Just my frame and cross member. But yes if you take the blocks out and raise the front you will have a stock mazda.

You could add another rear leaf?

A box that weighs 200 LBS shouldn't make any difference in your ride quality or your ride height. I ride with the torsions turned down and three inch blocks and on a regular basis I have 4 tires and a motor or tranny in the back and it rides the same (if not better with the weight in the back). Don't get me wrong, it rides like shit all the time but I never scrape anything.

umm, if your ubolts are scraping, and u take ur blocks out, it isn't gonna stop them from scraping its gonna bring them closer to the ground!! if your ubolts are draggin, you need to get the axle higher off the ground, maybe bigger wheels would stop that,. are u sure its scraping? my truck has the axle slappin the frame a bunch, but rareley do i scrape... (aside from speed bumps...)

The truck would be driveable at this height with the box. But seriously, you guys have a car show for lowriders here in my city, and it will be a scrapefest! Our roads have been FAR from smooth.

I apologize for my ignorance and failure to understand that I have failed to observe the fact that the blocks are an add-on and not a substitute. I merely thought it came stock with a 1 inch block or something of the sort.

I'm pretty sure I'm not scrapin' the frame, although, I'll give it a checkin' tonight... What would happen if I completely removed the torsion bars? Would'nt my steering or alignment have to be recorrected?

I really don't want to invest any money on the suspension except the airbags, and thats a while away.

I helped my brother move his house, and only hauled the smaller stuff, and packed shit on! Nothing was stacked over the bed sides though. I would say it was 3-400 lbs., and the bumpstops were only probably less than a 1/2 inch. The ride was actually better, but I know my wheels had to be taking a beating!

My scrubline is literally probably only 3 inch from the ground, so I know it has to be either the bolts or shocks. I looked a couple days ago and there is grind marks on the shocks. So it definitely is that, that is bottoming out. I can also feel it grinding in the back, so its the rear.

I have to kiddy corner almost everything... it won't surprise me if I bottom out more often when I get the box in with the current ride height, contrary to your statements.

Explain to me how removing the blocks will make my ubolts closer to the ground? As far as I can resolute, it would be because the blocks are gone and there is more "free space".

On the other suspension thread I have, its about bigger rims. But I dunno if 20's are going to conflict with wheel wells, steering, alignment, travel, etc...

The advantage also to bigger rims is that I will be able to further space the scrub line from the ground! So less bottom-outs!
