I HATE FRAM! When I first bought my Trans Am it had a fram on it,and I put a delco on it and it holds almost 10 psi more oil pressure now, I also TRIED to put one on my CBR F4i and the oil light stayed on,it wouldnt flow fast enough!! fram= best way to blow it up,finr for break in though

thats because wix really is the best.......we used to carry fram, and purolator........then a sales rep came in with a chart of tests.....

wix came out ahead in filtration.

all i use anymore is wix and motorcraft. put a fram oil filter in one hand and a wix in the other, both for the same vehicle and see which one weighs more. that will tell you just how much better filtration you are getting with the wix.

Funny how this became a thread about my oil filter.
Yes.. Fram is garbage.
I am only using it for break in so it will be fine, but I would never run one for a full cycle of oil changes. I saw a comparison of filters where they teset each filter with the same vehicle, driving conditions, oil and same milage... The Fram did not fare too well.
Wix was the best, a couple others fell in the middle (Puralator was one of them), and Fram was dead last. Worst of all, the Fram filter element fell apart and they found filter material all thru the engine.
Fram is junk... not mucjh more to say.
Now the best filter for a B-series is the OE Mazda filter. Why? Correct flow, keeps the engine primed, and best of all... it stops that dang ticking! Don't ask me why, but every time I have run the factory filter the ticking (valve lash) stops.

Anyways.. I will be painting the rear end, drive shaft, and some braketry today so there will be more pix in the future.

Well.. the rearend is assembled, bag's mounted, driveshaft loacated, etc. etc. - I'll post up some pix sometime soon of the rolling chassis.
I still have to send my link bars, tank, and valve cover for chrome. I hope have this done in the near future.
