Likr I said,I dont know about it,it will probobly be heavy as crap, and not to mention a ton of fab work, but it would look killer if you pull it off.

thats what I was thinkin, you would be suprised, what you could do with a custom chassis though as far as not needing to body drop or require laying the tubing sideways and still bury the rockers!

If you used some well placed gussets it would prolly be OK though?

just my 0.02 thrown in, idea sounds good visually, but like some of the other guys have said, not very sturdy to lay 2x3 on its side, you will have a lot of flex in your frame & with out some serious reinforcement could break on you.....my suggestion & please take it with a grain of salt, i'd stick to 3x4 or something close to that for the main frame rails straight back off of the front clip, then off of that you could run the side by side setup your talking about with the rest of the framework, but smaller as the 2x3 would be a little big & add too much weight to the frame & would make your truck like driving a tank it would be so heavy.....

i think it would work if i did double it up like i planned. yeah it may be heavy but i'll be BADASS!

besides, what does the added weight do to a truck?

does it bog it down or what?

maybe i should redesign it and do 2x3 standing on edge and then do a little bit of traditional also...

all i wanna get is about 3.75"-4" of bodydrop. tips/hints/suggestions?

Yes it will bog it down, try throwing a couple hundrepounds in the bed and driving around a couple days....you will notice it.
