Just curious. I lowered my truck last month,and I installed Toxic drop shocks all around,flipped my ball joints,cranked my t-bars all the way down,mono-leafed it and put in 3" blocks. With the stock rims and tires,the front nearly tucked and I could get 2 fingers between the back tire and the fender lip.

This weekend I installed 14" chrome rims with 175/65/14 tires,and I got a ton of drop with them. My lower control arms are like 3" from the ground and my exhaust is 4",while my frame is about 5.5 to 6". I have huge tire/fender gaps with these wheels,but they really do make the truck look damn low. But the minitrucker in me says it's never low enough.

I do have some Pathfinder rims which are going to be my summer rims,and I'll either be running a 195/60/15 or 205/55/15 tire on them and I want the truck to look absofreakinlutely slammed on them. I honestly don't care about ride quality,but I care about safety.

I went with a 3" block because I heard things about a 4" block putting the driveshaft angle out of whack and stuff like that.

So,without notching my frame or cutting my bed,can I go any lower with my static drop? I'm really getting the itch to bag it next year,but this year I just want the crap slammed out of it.

This is how it's sitting right now on 175/65/14s.

mikey is your truck c notched cause i have mine .... monoleaf ( no overload ) t bars cranked and re indexed flipped Balljoints and notched my axle would be hitting my frame if it wouldnt be notched.... it sits about 1/4 inch into wear the frame would be

no,it's not notched,and I asked how I can lower it without having to notch or cut any of my frame or body for the time being.

I absolutely love the way your truck sits on the stock wheels.

on mine... i took the bumpstops out, flipped the balljoints, cranked the torsion bars on front, on rear i have 2" blocks, mono leaf, and air shocks for ride quality.

it tucks in front, like an inch from tuckin in rear...

Here is a snow covered pic with my winter wheels which are WIDE so they hit my fenders...

yeah def didnt read that hole post .... sorry bout that... cut bump stops out front and rear and take the over load leaf off if you didnt already.... you could put air shocks on it like laydout said and then you would have a better ride quality you said you werent worried about ride quality but i think the addition of airshocks would be a good idea

ah,well I actually haven't cut or changed my front bumpstops yet. I trimmed my rear ones,and I don't want to buy shocks again because mine are only a month old...unless someone wants to buy them.

Laydout,your truck sits nice like that. Why only a 2" block? a 3" looks like it would make the truck sit even instead of raked.

oh,I took some measurements again. my overload leaf is 5" from the ground,the bottom of my bed at the back by the licence plate is 13" from the ground....when it was 27" at stock height!

mikey what shocks and how much would you wnat right now since i have the truck apart i just took off all the shocks

Im not running bars in the front or bump stops in the rear ive got it mono and three inch blocks and again no bump stops
Its as low as it will go with out cutting
