my suspension is inspired by a ladder bar drag racing setup. just with bags instead of coilovers.

guess i'm just too damn anxious to get it runnin, & with soo much time & all of these thought running thru my head of what if i did this, or what about that, ya know...!
main thing is get the engine done first, and get it all back together running & operating safely, then, if i don't like what i have now, i can upgrade to the wishbone link setup, and also modify the front end with some of the c-arms from summit, etc........

Baggedb22,
don't know about autocross, but would like it to have the best handling i can get out of it, a nice low / raked stance, with enough power that it can outrun it's own shadow!
i had a young kid yesterday pull up along side of me in a neon rt-4, while i was coming to work in my se-r spec v, wanting to race, & i knew i was out powered & wouldn't run him, but all i could think of was man i wish i had my truck running....not that i would condone chappin a young'ns tail or anything

maztang,
i like them too, they have a finish that looks like black chrome.....very hott, but i really like the oz's, all three of them weigh under 18 lbs, and all three are close to 3 bills a piece.....as much as i paid for my 22's on my old dodge....can you say ouch to the wallet!

hocbj23,
i think i would prefer a watts link, instead of the pan hard, at least from what i've read hear & there. i hear ya on the centerline's , they are fairly light weight, and look killer when all polished up, i just think i'm gonna need a little bigger wheel to fill the wheel well & complete the look i'm after, & it doesnt' hurt that they are real light weight either, gotta get every ounce of juice out of it i can

phatkix,
that is sort what i'm after, but still not exactly, i want all around handling, not just the straight line, i had thought about running some air shocks, but like the coilovers for adjustability, only down side is the ride height isn't adjustable near as quickly as the bags......

I cant autocross my truck(s) either but the combo of bigger sway bars, poly bushings and those nice TokicoR/T shocks improved my handling 100% and the Belltech bar in the back didnt hurt traction any.Luck on the Watts Link.Keep us posted and if u need a semi strong back and a real weak mind to get all those parts in Im available and I work cheep-this Buds for me.Lol.BJ

That would be awesome to see a B clean up in an autoX against Miatas and stuff, haha.

if you've watched any of the gt / daytona prototype racing, or superbike racing, we have a very nice track in birmingham, al (barber motorsports park) about an hour & a half south of me, i wouldn't mind taking a lap or two around it, just to see what she's capable of

you know, in all honesty, i don't like a panhard bar one bit. but then again i have a bagged mindset. that being said, if your running coilovers, a parallel 4link and panhard bar setup would be sweet for you. just remember the longer the panhard bar, the better, because you don't want any more side scrub then necessary.
a wishbone setup doesn't need a panhard bar, bacause the actual wishbone provides the triangulation necessary to keep the axle centered in the truck, much like the triangulated bars in a tri-4link.
if you want optimum adjustibility, and have some time to kill, run a pro street setup, with so many different mounting points to mount your bars you can set up your truck to many different situations.
as far as control arms go, have you looked into any manufacturers other than generic ones, such as fatman fab or barnyard customs or Scott's hotrods, to custom make you a set of a arms? that might be a more expensive way to go, but i'm sure they can tailor something to suit your needs.

yeah, i'd considered a pro-street type 4-link kit, you can buy a whole rear clip & weld it in, only prob with that is i would have no useable bed, which i would like to have, cause as we all know there's no extra room in a reg cab!

as far as the control arms, i could do anything they can with time to do it, and the right tools, it just happens that they have it all together......but they are charging an arm & a leg for what they have because they have it all together mostly to pay for tooling & labor, where as if i can find a "generic" control arm that is a 1/4 of the price which someone has already ate the cost of tooling & labor on, & slightly modify it to work, and pass this along to my b-scene bretheren & save everyone a few bones in the process, then that is just the nature of this minitrucker....

i hear ya, but that's why they are in business, because not everyone has the time and right tools, that's also whats being paid for in the high cost, they are gettin you to pay for their tools. i know you prolly know that tho..
save on minitrucker!!

when i get a chance to do a little r&d on the c-arms, if i can find something & make it work easily, i'll pass it along for the other minitruckers
