quite honestly I got a chepo filter to use after the EDC, it has a plastic bowl and was good to 125 psi. I designed a new one up in CAD had it milled out of aluminum and now run it to 200 regularly....as for the oiler put it before the EDC and it should be good.

Im curious about the stainless hard line.. what diameter should one run?

anyone know how to convert a stock ac comp. to do this? let me know

converting stock pump is easy... that wire from the comp goes to the relay, then put oiler and filter before the comp, water/oil seperator after, check valve before tank... its pretty easy...

hey gravity, would that 150 work for what i'm doing?

i dont know where youre getting your hose from gravity but this is what my place uses.

even the 350degree stuff would work fine. i prefer this stuff to regular hardline because it looks a million times better. works fine, havent ever had a problem with it. also with regular hardline you have the risk of bending it and work hardening it while changing compressors. once again. its your truck, do what you want, these are just suggestions based on my work that has been successful. and i apoligize for the language, i was sort of hammered last night and i was talkin shit on every forum im on. dont take it personal. i figured you guys were minitruckers and could handle it. hell a bunch of my tshirts have some sort of profanity on them.

Well I prefer hardline for a number of reasons, first I don
t ever change compressors because mine have never failed, and there is no need to flex my line to change mine, and second stainless braided line gets dirty like instantly and I hate that about it....and that is not the regular hose most people use on their trucks....most guys use regular russel or aeroquip lines.....Not to mention that line you posted has got to be stiff as shit, double stainless braids....Looks like good quality though.

it does get dirty which sucks but it cleans up nicely.

and how long have you ran sandens if you havent ever blown one up?

also, on topic, you dont need that relay to turn on the clutch for the compressor. the pressure switch will be able to handle it they have like no amp draw. the kill switch is a good idea though, when you get switch happy that compressor will run constantly and get hot and poof no more pump

I have had my sanden on my truck for 3 years now....I run it hard, it burns a bit of oil but still runs to 175 - 200 no problem. I check the oil weekly, run only synthetic in it, and I have done some internal work to make the longevity greater.

have you ever ran the input through the case to keep the bearings/etc oiled and cool em off? i did that on one right before i got rid of my truck. pretty sweet way of keeping it cool.
