Its not unsafe....UH YES IT IS, by having no spring at all your tire is not forced into contact with the road during any sort of maneuvering or rough road driving. It won't have the proper weight transfer during even moderate cornering, and braking will be less effective as the lack of front suspension will not allow the proper balance of weight to shift forward and put wieght on the main braking wheels...
There is NO NEED to remove your torsion bars, you can remove the bumpstop, reindex and further crank the torsion bars, and add shorter shocks and it wont ride like crap and it wont be unsafe.
