...and you drove those many miles and at that speed? Dang!

It just started happening a few weeks ago and wasnt too bad. The truck sat for 6 years in a storage unit. I think the rubber part of the bearing was just dry rotted and it started falling apart after pulling it out of storage and driving it.

Oh well Ill drive it to work tomorrow and hopefully find a replacement local on my way home.

i have a problem just like that but not as bad...but i changed everything every1 told me to change...my driveshaft is practicly brand new , new joints, bearing, shortened and balanced. but when i get to 65 mph i feel a little vibration and noise under my feet and on the gas pedal only when i press on the gas a little. when i press it farther, it stops and when i let off the gas it stops... HELP PLEASE its driving me crazy

does your engine run smoothly at that speed/rpm? does it do it in all gears?

I cant get the damn bolt off to seperate the 2 shafts... I believe it is a 26mm nut, but I cant find a 26mm open end wrench and my box end wrench wont fit in there...

Anyone know is the bolt is 26mm. I might buy another 26mm box end wrench and make it fit.

isnt the other end of the box end wrench an open end?
fantomrush   +1y
lol no... I could only find a wrench with a 24mm box end on one side and a 26mm end on the other. I just found a 26mm at harbor freight so I hope it is the right size. if not sears has a 27mm in stock...

I am trying to fix the carrier bearing while putting my weber and header on. it has turned into quite a task. lol...

Well damn it... Replacing the carrier bearing did nothing to fix my vibration. I even got back under the truck to make sure it wasn't a dream and I really replaced it. Sure enough... The new on is in there and the damn truck will still make chocolate milk it shakes so bad.

I also put on my weber carb and my header and that didnt make a difference either. Although it runs much better and smoother now, but still vibrates.

I dont know what to do now. I guess I am going to have to take it some where to get it looked at. I hate the feeling of defeat.
