good question.... there's no rubber boot or a zerk fitting that i've seen... seems like they'd get dirt and stuff in them and wear rapidly....

that is the coolest balljoint ive ever seen

that's the only hold back on the uniballs, once they wear out they are trash....you can get them with dust covers, and zerks.....other than that, they offer better angles w/o binding.....almost bought a set of camburg's upper arms for my 03 taco....

Not true. Once they are worn out they are rebuildable, and the rebuild kits are cheap. They work just like a heim joint really. Or a superflex joint from Suicide Doors. They have a ply bushings inside, with a lip that pushes dirt away. They have about the same life as a standard balljoint. And also, you will only alot an extra 2-3 degrees of travel with these over a stock balljoint. That means your wheel will be able to go up another 1/4" or so, or get that much more lift. Other than looking sweet, they don't really have any huge benefits over a standard balljoint.

Because I do not manufacture control arms to sell.

my bad twisted.....i know i had read on ttora.com or somewhere else about the uniballs, maybe not all of them are rebuildable? don-no? and now that you've said something about it, i do remember one of the guys sayin he had to pull his u/c arms and send them back to camburg for a rebuild....could just have been a bad case of the brain-farts....lol!

i understand that the writers of minitruckin are not god by any means, and what they say or write might not always be 100% accurate, but that's significantly more than 2-3 degrees. maybe some ball joints get more articulation than others? i wanna know which ones do.
i looked up fabtech balljoints for a nissan hardbody(apparently nobody lifts mazdas lol), but they were $52 each...

I respect Mike and all, but not everything he writes is correct. The average uni-ball actually has 35 degrees of travel. A stock Toyota balljoint, and a stock S10 balljoint both have about 29-30 degrees of travel. A power performance S10 balljoint has 33 degrees of travel. And the Chrysler balljoints I used on my truck get 32 degrees of travel. The Chrysler joints are $15 each about. Then you get the thread in bung for them which is like $12 and you build your arms off that.

I can get damn near just as much travel as Mikes truck can. I get 13" of useable travel, but I limited it to 10" with my shocks because it look sstupid any higher.
