lol not my arm if thats what your thinking.

When i trim my lower control arm, because im getting ready to bag, wont everything that i trimmed away make it weak or will it be fine. Should i plate it some how?? because i can't really think of where to plate it to make it stronger.

any help greatly appreciated.

How much lower does flipping the bjs get the truck, cuz im 2 inches from laying on 205/40/17

it would all depend on what you are trimming off of the lower arm, if you were actually cutting away the main structure of the arm, yes you ought to reinforce it, unless you are going to encompass the bag bracket into the structural integrity of the arm where you removed the original material. but if your just removing something like the shock mount, no, it will be alright.
basically if you think it's weak, reinforce it, if not, ride out & dragit!

@ 3/4"-1" in flipping the bj's.....

im with nytrdr if you think it might break you should try and do preventative maintance before it breaks that way it doesnt break while trying to show off or long distance from home or anything like that

a friend of mine trimmed the shit out of his upper control arms for his hardbody then tig welded a piece of 3/16 1x1 angle to the top for strength. looks kind of shitty but def. strengthens it. he trimmed it a lot to get it to lay out on the re7s in the front.

I don'r get why you are 2 inches from laying on a 205/40/17....it should lay out with no BJ flip....and if you are gonna cut the arm up, reinforce it somehow....Do it right the first time and it won't come back to haunt you later.
