Aight,so many of you know I have the AIM spindles on my truck and run 17" Escalades. Now,I've got 205/50/17 tires. Obviously not the lowest profile of tire I can run,but the ride is good and they're actually the same diamteter as the stock 14s.

Now,the spindles kicked the wheels out about 3/4" on each side, giving me major clearance issues with the stock fenders. Even installing 4x4 fenders and cutting the lips out did not help my situation until I raised the front of the truck, and now the front end sits higher than the back and looks stupid.

For you guys that run spindles with Eskies, can I get away using a 205/45 or 205/40 tire on the front and crank the front end down a little more? I need to buy 2 new tires since 2 are badly worn,so I figure if I can go and buy 2 tires with a 40 or 45 profile and throw em on the back and crank the front down and leave the 50s on the back cuz I like the way it sits for now,I'll be all set till I get it bagged over the winter.

Any ideas on what I can do with my tires and front end?

why don't you get the lowered control arms so it won't push your wheels out?

or redril your lower c arm so u wil have a touch more camber to clear your fenders? i know the tires wont last as long but you cant have that much camber now tih the spindles.??

all you have to do is space the upper control arm back a bit and go down one size on the tires

Another option would be to redrill the lower control arm so that the lower ball joint sits approximately 3/4" further in (closer to the center of the truck), then create a 3/4" spacer for the upper control arm to space that in. The tie rods can be adjusted to account for the decreased track width. Can provide pic of this mod if needed (did it on the daughters truck. Alignment is was professionally set, and not tracks perfectly straight).

so lance, can you help me with a spacer if I get a pair of tires?

Should I go down to a 45 or 40 profile since I run a 50 on the back? I don't want the the truck to look like it's doing a nosedive.

I like the 205 40 17 look that MazDawg93 has on his truck and if we need to space it that will not be a problem at all.

yeah, but would that end up looking goofy with the 50s on the back?

I'll try and get a pair of tires first, after we decide on what size to get.

i think i got 40's on my truck and it rides good i think. i got spindles and flipped bj's and torsions cranked just a hare. the only time i run into problems is when someone over 200 lbs is in the passenger seat. and even then i take it a little slower with procaution and i only hit outer fener once in a blue moon. i dont have eskies but there still chevy wheels so i take it there atleast close to the same.
