i have had one of my viair 450's since late 2002, and i don't think it works too well anymore, its still on there, but it's had better years. i have another 450 that has been on my truck since about 2003-4 and its running fine still. for christmas 9 months ago i got an AZ and added it to the mix, and holy shit what a difference it made to the other two. i haven't had any problems yet. i got the new model with the heat sink... i'm down with AZ!! but my viairs have deffinately gotten a workout. i like both.

but theres one thing all of you have to keep in mind, how long has viair been around how long has air zenith been around?

viair has already worked out all there bugs with there comps.

I have never had any real expierence with air zeniths on my person vehicles but at the shop we have put them on at least 5+ vehicles and just the fans went out and no other problems.

I got 2 450s on the 83 and Ive never had a problem, I wouldnt mind getting 2 480s but I would go EDC before I did anything.

I agree AZ needs to work their bugs out, but they also need to offer customer support. ViAir at least does that.

Sounds good, my ViAirs are starting to give out. Matter of fact i rebuilt one of them from a broke ViAir and its been hanging in there. Looks like i might be upgrading to the 480s, u think anything bigger is overkill? I got 2 yellow tops already in and a high output alternator will be put in soon....?

Sounds good, my ViAirs are starting to give out. I've had them for 4 years and survived an accident where the car was totaled. Matter of fact i rebuilt one of them from a broke ViAir and its been hanging in there. Looks like i might be upgrading to the 480s, u guys think anything bigger is overkill? I got 2 yellow tops already in and a high output alternator will be put in soon....?

I got 2 AZ's almost a year ago from fmkustoms.com, which he will stand behind them, and if he can't help u he will get ahold of them...I have never had a problem with them and really do like how they work, they fill my 12 gallon way faster then my viairs ever could. I think most of the stuff everyone hears about az's is just people talking trash or installation error...I will give them a good word though from what i have seen...

Is there a noticeable difference between the 480 and 550 ViAirs?
