i have heard that the zeniths are high maintenance. but that is just hear say, i don't know from experience. i am going to go with the viair 480 dual pack.

From what Ive seen the newer models of the AZ's are good but some of the older ones had issues. I have read that AZ is coming out with a new design sometime soon and its supposed to pull half as many amps and is supposed to be better in everyway than the current model.

My AZ lasted for 10 days. Have been calling every couple days and emailing about my warranty, never got a response. It went out early last month, and my warranty finally went out yesterday, so I'm just giving up. I got a ViAir, and its faster than the AZ was... I was thinking about having a sticker made while I was at the show that said "screwed by Air Zenith." After a few shows they might have returned a call.

Viair is the way to go in my opinion.

I read tons of post about ppl having problems with AZ, but in my travels have not read one bad thing about Viair.

And the best part is that they are affordable and worth every penny...

And they come in Chrome! Whats better than that?

Viair is number one in my book....My Dual 480Cs rock the house!

my s10 has had the same 450 on it for 3 years and it still works good, i bought another 450 thats on the mazda now, i wish i would of went with the 480 though, so i say go with a viair, i will never buy a air zenith

I have used both in customer rides and I have found that Viair is the best in my opinion. I have talked with a couple of airzenith reps and tryed to get warranty work and they are a pain in the ass. I have never had a problem with the viairs yet in my own rides and the 2 viairs that were repaired in my friends rides were actually replaced with new ones. VIAIR all the way.

I think engine driven is the way to go. But if I had to choose between viair and az....I would definately do viair. AZ's are quick, but loud and have a bad track record. dual 380's or 480's is a nice setup.

I run dual 480s on a 12 gallon tank, its alright, but I'd never go to AZ because of how much mine run, the AZs woulda went out in a day. Next is EDC again, which is BY FAR, the best.

Based on what I have read over the last 6 months on this issue I guess I would lean towards the ViAir. But.... I can only speak from experience. Biggie has been running a pair of AZ's on 10 gal of air with a 180 psi cutoff for several months with no issues. I have a single AZ on 3 gal of air with a 145 psi cutoff with no issues. I'm sure I will be singing a different tune if one of them fail.
