My speedometer was jumping from 60-70 when traveling at about 60 and then it started reading way off like when driving at like 35 it would say i was doing 70 and as I would pick up speed it would also climb....my tires are really close to stock. This only started about 3 weeks after i lowered my truck and i took out the cable and greased it just for kicks and that didn't help. Anyone else have this problem or know what is causing this to happen? I would like to get it fixed cause the trip meter is my gas guage since its definatly a mazda. Thanks for any response

perhaps the cable isn't all the way in the cluster, or the gear on the end of the cable is stripped? i was going to guess the cable was binding up in the housing, but since you said you already greased it.... hmm...

ya my dad said the bouncing would be the cable binding and then breaking loose so thats why i greased it. If the gear is stripped wouldnt that mean that it would read slowerr instead of faster? Ill have to check and see if its in the cluster all the way.
