thats set up is called the cop stopper, it was out years ago but never caught on, it will give u alitte more lift then between the arms, the bag will inflate straight, and has a pivot point on the lower arm, if im not mistaken, not like it being between the control arms and bending, which gives u less lift,

the only truck ive seen it in till this day is chris "eli" griffins truck, "reincarnation"
looks badass and my all time favourite truck

So would you still run some tubular a-arms to tuck those big wheels with this setup? Or would it be useless to use them since the upper arm isn't part of the equation anymore?

the upper is the key player in this particular setup cause the bag is attached to it. no linkage or other shit just a bag bracket on the upper and a hoop to connect the upper bag mounts a real simple setup to say the least.....

I dont think the bag is attached to the upper arm? It has a pivot point on the lower arm like midnightmike said...

The tube runs through the upper and to the lower...

i would think so, hes running 20" on it now, ill have to find the issue of MT with it in there,

i have lots of pics of it before he went and redid everything, hes running drop lower control arms and running a 2600lb bag, hence more lift

well, without pie cutting the upper arms or getting after market a-arms i would think that the balljoints would bind. right? i like that setup. i have seen it somewhere else before. but what gets me is how some of these guys mount the rear bags side ways and it lifts the truck. freakin insane! i absolutely love looking at all the work that goes in the rear setups on some vehicles.

ok i just found the issue with the 20"s and the b/d the front set has been changed to tubular arms and the bag between the arms, he also put in a 350, so i think he had no choice

annnnnd... i found a better pic of the old setup and it looks like i was wrong, it looks like the bag is mounted to the upper arm and it still use the shock in the factory location

So I still have a question?

Would running tubular arms work with this setup? Or would they be useless?

Lets say for a 20" Wheels
