How are you guys mounting the lower S10 BJ's ??

Because the standard BJ's have theards in them to bolt them onto the arm and the S10 Bj"s dont have any theards at all so ???

Good question... Anyone?

When you order the drop spindles they come with a new 1/2" thick plate that replaces the stock balljoint with the S-10 balljoint already pressed in. All you do is unbolt the factory Mazda balljoint and bolt in the new plate with the S-10 balljoint. When I build Mazda tube arms I machine a new balljoint cup that the S-10 balljoints press into. They look much nicer than the plates and are easier to weld tubing to. Hopefully that helps.

Heres a picture of the arms that I sell so you can see the S-10 balljoints in the actual arms.

Two things !

1, The original BJ plates have theards in them but the new BJ plates have no treads !!?? I know that I can use nut and bolts to attach it but I was more just making sure that this is how it's done or did mine just not get the needed threads threaded in while being made as I've never read that they are installed by nut and bolt before ...???

2, Them arms are sexy !! Whats the damage for a set and will you send them to OZ ???

1. The new plates that come with the drop spindles just use bolts to attach them to the lower arms.

2. I charge $550.00USD a set with balljoints and $460.00USD a set without balljoints plus whatever it would cost to ship to OZ. I will sell you a pair of uppers or lowers with or without balljoints if thats all you need. Shoot me an e-mail at or a PM on here and i'll get you a shipping quote as well as some additional info about them.

Hmmmm, Out of my price range at the moment as I'm savin for my wheels!! but I've copied your details into my contacts doc for when my wallet allows them !! And thanks for your reply !!

Also, has anyone else noticed an in-consistency with the amount of travel with the s10 balljoints ??

one of mine has more travel then the other !! which is allowing one of my arms to go almost an inch lower then the other !!

also, the drop spindle/s10 balljoint setup doesn't allow as much LCA downward travel (chassis lift) as the standard setup does!! which sux ass bad !! Not sure about upward travel, haven't tested it yet !!

not sure about the s10 ball joint situation, but it would make sense for the ball joint to not get as much 'chassis lift' because in our aftermarket lowered situation, often the ball joints are re-angled to provide more drop.

yeah it's not so much the amount of lift or lack of it, it's more that the two s10 bj's I have both have different amounts of travel from each other...
