how long do you think my stock shocks would last if i lowered my truck 3-4 inches?
toddluck   +1y
not to long ..the problem is you will be riding on the stock shocks bottomed out all the time so they pop quick...if you have access to a welder yo can always chop the top mount raise it and use a stock shock for awhile its a cheap way to retain some kinda ride

i drove my truck for about 3 years lowered on 3 inch block, cranked torsions, and stock shocks. the day i spent the $140 for lowered shocks was one of the best decisions i ever made for my mazda. you will not be dissapointed.

thanks for the answers. i dont have that much money right now so i'm just gonna lower it. then a little later i'll buy the shocks.

Might as well, but I agree with Mr. Tornado. You can tell the difference.

aren't the shocks for old vw bugs the same as most lowering shocks? checking here and magazines, thought i saw that somewhere.

try a set of rear shocks for a '77/'78 Mustang II. I believe they are really short and they are the right stud / eyelet configuration. plus they are cheap. I used front shocks from a '66-'68 Plymouth fury but they needed some easy modification to work. I think I paid $15 bucks each @ Napa

I'll pick up a set of the '77/'78 Mustang II rear shocks if they bolt in...

tanks for the tip pal

Yeah, I never heard that about the mustang shocks.
