my buddy works at a machine shop maybe ill have him make me a new ones. does anyone know the specs on the upper bag mounts? or can i use the specs from these brackets? i called aim and they said both brackets are the same for both sides.
You could prolly make them using the specs from those brackets. All you really need is to have a piece of plate thats wide enough to cover the whole mounting surface of the bag and just drill holes for the studs and bag ports. But you could prolly return those brackets and order the torsion kit from Dev or SD for the same price. Heres a pic of the kit. I think the upper mounting plate is like 5.5" wide.
heres a pic of the brackets off my truck (the one pictured above) as you can see there different and face opposite directions. Also like these guys said the brackets sucked. my bags rubbed in 2 places, didnt lay out, and was just a old skewl setup. I had to redo my frontend with the kit elbine69 just put a pic of.
if i were you id get rid of those brakets, they sucked, im 1/2 from laying in the front on 17 with 40's and they hit the control arms and full lift, and they caused my bag to rub on my frame
i am now rebagging the front end and replacing front bags and my cracked control arms
3rd time if this is your first time bagging a truck and dont know how to weld please find someone that does know how to weld and use the universal brackets you will be way happier in the long run. I'm 99% sure if you run the AIM brackets you end up chenging them like I did as well as others your just throwing away cash and they screwed up sending two of the same braket see if they will send a call tag to pick them and refund your money.
Here was my old setup, and I agree, you probably wont lay out with them, and may fu** up your bag. It did to mine... I would invest in the other style, gusseted front bag kit....
