do i need to buy drop spindles? i dont have them right now and the truck barely lays out in the front wich is ok with me as long as it does lay out. i think the ball joints are flipped and i know theres a spacer on em. the problem is my inner bj bolts are rubbing holes in my bags. i could fix this by removeing the ball joint spacers but i dont think it will lay out then. do i need to notch my controll arms? ive heard of people doing that. also if i buy drop spindles will i still be able to run 16 inch rims?

sorry about all the ?s but id like to figure this out before i blow a bag.

i would notch the lower control arm thats what i did. i can lay the crossmember and i didnt flip the ball joints or have drop spindles

you can also pie cut your upper control arm

You dont need drop spindles. You can lay out on stock spindles up to an 18" wheel. Why are you running balljoint spacers? I thought those were only used for lifting trucks. You might need to pie cut the upper arms and notch the lower arms depending on what size tire your running.

You can lay a 25" tall tire without drop spindles. Thats up to a 19, or a very very small 20" tire.

thanks for all the help guys. im not sure why there is spacers in my ball joints this is my first ever minitruck and i had someone help me bag it and thats what he said we needed to do. i will be running z71 rims with 205/40 rubber so that should give me plenty of room i think. i will try to get some pics of my setup and post em up tonight and mebbe you guys could figure out why he had me put spacers in there.

Get back to work Ryan! It'd be nice to be able to use the rims we already have and not have to go buy new ones so i can spend more money on the new mazda

so i took some pics of the setup today let me know whats goin on here guys. i dont think the bjs are flipped and the way the spacer is in there isnt it lifting the truck??? i dont get it. but you can see where the bags are rubbin the bolts. i think if i remove the spacer and flip the bjs like in the how to write up then i should have room and still lay out right? thanks alot for the help guys. also posted some new pics in the garage let me know what you think of the truck.

Well first remove that spacer. The upper bag mount should be angled so the bag is straight when its collapsed. Doesnt look like the lower control arms are notched either. Either one of those could be holding you up from laying all the way out or a combination of the two. Check out the how to Dev did to see what I mean about the bag mount and notching the lower arms

the truck lays the entire crossmember right now. im just worried that if i pull out the spacer i wont lay out anymore. because if i pull it the wheel would be closer to the ground right?

so my bj's are allready flipped right?
