cant ya take yer stock axle and change the hubs out to the toy ones?

I am no expert on the axle subject, my experience comes from rebuilding the front hubs w drop spindles and replacing bearings etc.

oh yeah,
my 20's are right at home out back, with the stock axle, I rolled the box lip for extra clearance. and I my flare to match the front I am battling the front right now .

How is your front set up? pics?

84-88 is about an inch narrower than the 89-95 axles. 79-83 are 55" wide, and the 73-78 are 53" wide.

so should i just get the axle narrowed instead i think it would be cheaper

narrowing the axle will run you a fwe hundred dollars du to haveing to either respline the axles that you have or find shortened axles to fit in there. it would be cheaper if you could find a smaller width axle like i am on the lookout for.

nobody's telling you your axle is too wide... you don't even have wheels yet, so its not too wide. your having your wheels custom made to a offset of your discretion is that correct? or did i misunderstand? just mock it up and measure for your backspace and front space and see if it'll fit.
i'm going to narrow my back half when i build it,because i've got 20x8.5 and theres a total of 5.25 inches(i think) of backspace(counting lip), and my axle i've got is a 69 yota and its 54" wide... the wheels will be around an inch from the frame... only a problem when going in a driveway...

i back halfed my rear frame(narrowed),im running a s10 rear end which is a little narrower than the mazda by like an inch or something (cant remember exact, long time ago) have almost a 6 inch offset on my 22 & can tuck nice & clean (even side 2 side no rubbing) i had all my work done then took my truck in 2 be fitted for rims,if u dont want any f'up's i'd do the same! just my 2 cents!
