Can get some pics of my daughters truck tomorrow - but from my experience I can say whatever you do for the LCA mount, make sure the back of the rim does not hit the mount when fully turned. Check throughout the travel of the suspension. Hers LOOKED great and worked great, but found out later that the rim hit the mount when turning with 40-60 psi in the bags.

The closer to the LCA and the closer to the LCA pivot point you go, the better off you are. But don't let the bag rub the shock.

Hope this helps.

Those pics would be great!! I would really appreciate it. I plan to place shocks as close to frame as I can if that's right. I think that wood keep wheel from hitting them. How much lift does your daughters truck have? I've never owned a bagged truck so don't know how much lift they usually have. Kind of concerned about my shocks only having 5" of lift. Seems kind of low when driving at 60 but I don't know, and that's why I'm here, to learn.

thanks..

So finally got both sides done. Here's first side.

the other side. did gussets the same this time.

for shock thinking about welding a tab to Lca so i can get nut on back side to bolt shock up. not sure how to set the height of shock? do it with shock compressed, not compressed, Lca up or down? shock has 5 1/2" of travel.

bag brackets look damn good to me

Looks gooe. But you really need to build some support into those upper arm brackets. They will fold over or tear off in the state they are in right now.

I wish I would have done that before I did the gussets. I guess if I weld a plate under top A arm bracket "the part I cut off" between the gussets to the frame would that be enough? Let me know if that would work or not. Thanks for the tip I never would have caught that until something happened.

I'm not quite catching what you're talking about? Can you draw it on a picture with MS Paint or something so I can visualize it?

you need to have some more support than just adding a flat plate under the openning that is there. When you look at it on the right side try and weld some plate and connect it to the gusset and bag plate.

The 5" of shock travel should be fine...the 6" of lift you get is at the end of the a arm and you wont be able to get to close to the end without the rim hitting the shock or the bracket. So with the shock farther in on the a arm it will lessen the stroke of the shock also when you add angle it with lessen the comp strock as the shock angles. I have some pics of the uppers welded to the frame to tie them back in after cutting the bottom part of the bracket off. I was able to weld my upper bag plate to it and tie it all in.

so this side should be all done, how does it look? Got shocks it and supported upper arm bracket.
