No these trucks dont have springs, they are torsion front ends, The use a torsion bar and a shock

mazdas are torsion bar front suspension so there is no need for springs

Someone probaly has removed the bump stops, instead of shaving them down!

so to raise it back up a little bit do i tighten (turn to the right) or lossen (turn to the left) the torsion bolt

Tighten it

can i tighten by hand or do i need a air gun

Use hand tools so you can count how many turns you went on each side so its the same on each side. Id suggest spraying with with pb blaster or something like that a few times and let it sit before you try to turn them so they dont snap off.

leave it on the ground or jack it up
