Do not use 4 or 5 inch blocks! This is a really bad idea because it places your lower pad and u-bolts wayyy to low and you will catch it on things. (trust me I have had alot of friends learn about this first hand)

You can basically do the same thing by just placing a jack under the front leaf spring perch, cutting the perch off of the frame, jack up the perch so it "sleeves" around the frame, and just re-weld. Bingo! Instant drop and you don't have to trim off the excess. It also looks pretty much stock. Most people don't even notice it. It also gets the perch up and out of the way. I did this to my dawg and highly recomend it to anyone looking to gain some drop.

if you just move the front perch is that not goin to mess with your pinion angle? seems if you want to keep it the same you would need to move the front and back.

I know about the U-bolts.I relocated my shocks aswell.I have had these angled 5" block on for over a year with no problems.I was going to do the perch to but I think that it might be too much of a pinion angle issue.

I don't think so. I have had it done since 95 and had no issues with it. But I would be interested to hear from someone like Seth who has the ultimate knowledge of supension to comment on this. Anyone?

OMG any blocks over 3" is terrible. ive had several friends with nissans move their front perches up. worked like a champ. you said that you are monoleafed with overload, so thats just the one main leaf and the overload. is the overload on bottom or top? a 3" block, main leaf, and the overload on top will put the frame hitting the rearend. nothing to do to be lower but a notch and some sort of links.

Ive done this to 2 of my cabplus's before they were bagged. Mono leaf with the overload spring, 4" angled block, relocated upper rear shock mounts, raised spring perches and a notch. The front had rekeyed torsions with the bump stop mounts cut off and raised the upper shock mount. At the time I had 205/40/16's and the frame sat 4 inches off the ground and road like a Caddy. Use the angled blocks if you raise your spring perches to correct you pinion angle. I drove mine like this for a year before they were baggedand no problems.
