if you are going to buy aim junk you may want to save some money buy just getting a bicycle air pump is almost the same, but the bicycle pump will work when you need it to haha i have viair 480 on both trucks and love them.. best comp. on the market imo..

I dont understand why people wouldnt want a belt driven comp. You can get a belt driven setup for the same price or lower than a set of electric comps will cost you. My 90 xcab has a/c but im taking it out and using the comp for a belt driven.

Plus you dont have to listen to the electric comps or wait as long for air with a belt driven.

To each his own i guess...

I wont buy another 12v compressor unless its an Oasis, and before that, I'll run EDC or build one like an oasis. 12v are a waste. I have 2 480s, and it takes 30 minutes to fill a 12 gallon tank.

MAIN reason i cant wait to get my mazda on the road. 2 alternator locations at the SAME TIME theres 3 compressor locations.

Air supply + Amperage = very happy fat kid.

i am running the dual viair 480s on mine and love em. i haven't even had problems with the check valves ***knocking on wood***

I haven't had any problems with any Viair products...there was a line of compressors that had the plastic check-valves in the leader hoses, but they have been out of circulation for awhile now...

I personally run the Dual 480C Compressors....Great compressor!

My bro ran an AIM compressor for a little while, without any probs, I have some AIM drop blocks on the beater Mazda right now without an issue... I've seen DC compressors going for like $50 used so something like that would be a good deal. I have a viar 380 now and its a slow fill, Prolly end up going york here soon
