Those were the wheels off the wifey's ride. I have some QX56's that I am gonna put on mine. If you live in Kingsville and work in Corpus, how'd you end up in Portland?? You should post some pics of your ride, the SRT-4 too, I like those. What color is yours'?

Guys, I always thought the tabs on the hub helped support the weight of the truck. The lug nuts keep the wheels on the truck but Ive always been under the assumption that those tabs were to help center the wheels and to HELP support the weight of the truck. If this isnt true ill be grinding mine off to fit my chrome chevy wheels

Guess I have not thrown in my 0.02 on this topic yet (thought I did but guess not).
Anyway, if anyone on here ever tried to put on a set of true knock off spokes on there truck they would soon find out the same thing I did. The tabs have to be ground off in order for the knock off adapters to sit flat against the drum/hub. My truck may not have had the miles put on it like Todds, but I have been rolling on ground tabs for about 12 years now with no real issues. The 6 lugs nuts center the steel adapter perfectly and the wheels roll without vibration. Aluminum rims might be a little different, but again this is just my 0.02.

even in the heavy truck industry the wheels don't rest on the tabs all of the time some makes of wheels come no were close. The important thing to do when centered with lugs is to makes sure there torqued properly and not running with one broke or missing a nut.
