Ok guys I've read up on the how to for flipping the ball joints but I have some questions. I was unable to detemine from the posts on there, it seems people had different opinions about the camber issue and I would like to get my camber issue somewhat resolved since this is my daily driver. My truck is static dropped with re indexed torsions, removed bump stop brackets, and Isuzu shocks.

#1 what are the pro's and con's to flipping the ball joints on a static dropped truck?

#2 should I flip the upper and the lower ball joints or just the upper or lower to reduce negative camber?

#3 any kind of other advice you can chime in with (I'm always up for hearing peoples opinions)

The only thing I ask is that you don't say things like bag it, get control arms, or drop spindles, or anything along those lines. Some of you know my situation, and for the ones of you that don't I will just say I am having a very rough time financially.

Here is a pic of my trucks camber as it is right now, I want to go lower but I want to see if flipping 1 or both of my ball joints will help me with the camber

and this is how low the truck used to be and how low or maybe even a little lower I want it to be, I just cant handle this kind of camber having to buy 17 inch tires

Just flip the lower. And once your done you need to get an alignment or you will be going through tires very quickly.

well to FIX the camber you would need to flip the top one too it will pull the top out and fix the camber some, but you will need to cut the arm some to do it

Ok see now I'm confused again, this is my problem I was having before. I don't know whether to flip the lower or the upper and lower, lol and what exactly do you mean by cut the arm, I've never done this b4 so its kinda new to me, lol, don't make fun, j/k!

There is a hump where your lower ball joint is bolted in when you remove the lower ball joint a try and put it on the top the hump thats there needs to be cut out it is pretty self explanatory once you get under there and look if pics will help there are some in the how to section and as for the top it is a simple unbolt put on top of control arm and bolt it back in

I almost forgot mine is static dropped also and I was having camber issues once I flipped both upper and lower I no longer had as bad of camber issues was able to align pretty easy

oh ok he was talking about the tab on the lower arm, that's where i got confused, i thought he was actually talking like cutting it and re-welding it, lol. thanks

With an air ride setup would you suggest having flipped lowers as well? What about flipped uppers? Im getting some Wild camber when the frame is on the ground. Im building the truck so it can be driven while almost at full drop

i would flip both for a baged setup, you get lower ride and not much camber

Just take your wheel off, and look at the front.
You'll have to do some cutting to flip the lower, once ya look at it you'll understand.
