That is my plan on mine. Then move the upper control arm up the same amount to take care of geometry problems. It looks to me like you will gain close to 3" if not maybe a little more. I talked to some shops and they said go with a quality balljoint(no ebay chinese junk), because it will be tension instead of compression. You will have to have your spindle taper changed. It looked to me like you could just move the tie rods from the top to the bottom to take care of steering geometry. I don't think the 14"s will fit anymore, but it 15"s might.
This is the conclusions I have come to from what I have measured on mine, other opinions may different from mine, but chances are they are wrong.
