does anyone know of any irs diffs that will bolt straight to the mazda b2200 ex drive shaft??

you can use the rx7 it bolt right on...BUT!! you will have to get you shaft cut down

if your wanting jus the diff i read you can swap jus the guts out the you have an lsd

^^^ im not 100% on that, i have an rx-7 rear diff unit im planning on harvesting the internals out of, but was told if you didnt use the snout from the rx-7 unit that you would need a 10mm shim/spacer to make the rx guts work inside the mazda housing... i havent tried doing the swap yet cause i cant take my stuff apart and not be able to put it back together... still have to drive my shit...

lsd would be dope but thats not why im doing the irs swap just for a diffrent back half but im building it off my truck then when done putting it on but i dont really want to have to do anything to my drive shaft but if i have to i will probably go corvette rear end or subaru

even still... to answer your question... i have the rear half of a b2200 ext cab 2 piece drive shaft, the end where it bolts to the rear diff is a slightly different size than my b2600i rear diff, yet the bolt hole size fits directly onto the snout bolt size of the rx-7 rear end that i have...

i hope that can answer your question... the second gen rx-7 rear end that i have is a irs unit like you asked about bolting directly to the b2200 drive shaft... this one will, i dont have the rest of the irs parts, i scrapped those a while ago, never intended to do irs on mine... lsd on the other hand... thats what i want...

yea all i wanted to know is if it would bolt on but i guess as the other guy said it will but i will have to shorten my drive shaft

i think he was thinking more the actual swapping of snouts, cause we have talked about that in other threads and that requires having your shaft shortened... but if you say put the box from a short cab short bed on, or went with a long bed you might not need to have the shaft modified... but stretch your frame... im gonna look into getting just my internals swapped and see if thats possible... you might be able to use the irs from a 3rd gen 7...
