Oh, if you haven't already, upgrade to a set for DT shocks from Summit.

Okay, newbie question....is it considered mono-leafing when you leave the top and bottom leaf springs in and remove the middle two?

^^ Yes, leave the overload spring and the main spring.

Breaking your leaf doesn't just happen from flex over bumps, you can't break it by the force of acceleration and deceleration, including braking. You are driving an unsafe truck without the overload in there. That single leaf is no where near designed to handle the torque loads put on it.

Has anyone ever heard of flipping the leafspring upside down and putting it in that way? I heard someone did that before.

Wow dude you're all about the risky ways lol. Just take the advice we've offered from experience.

What did you do for the front suspension?
bpete91379   +1y
I took torsion bars out of the front and took out the bump stops.

I would love mine to sit like that but is that even safe with no torsions or bumpstops even with good shocks?

Not sure. lol. I mean its bouncy as hell. But im gonna bag it soon so...... I had a mazda a while ago lowered the same way this is and i never had any problems with it except the tires would need replaced in the front every so often. I drove it like that for 3 years without a problem.....

Bpete truck looks sick that low. My first mazda was dropped in the rear the same way but with a mini c notch. Front was dropped a little different but never had a problem.
