I recently changed the direction of my build, and will be needing to bring the axle a bit closer to the cab. I figured that I would be able to cut the spring mounts (both front and rear) and slide it up a bit. I don't really see any harm in doing such, the only thing that I would need to be careful of is drive shaft length.
