I am assuming you are lowered static considering the question. You have a few options depending on what size tire/rim you're running:

1: Take the bumpstops out completely. This will give more travel than just trimming them down but if you're already sitting on them you might get a couple inches of travel at most before the arm contacts the bump stop mount.

2: Trim them as mentioned above. Less travel but alot less harsh than the contact with arm without them.

3: Remove bumpstop AND cut off the bump stop mount. This will give you the MOST travel and if you DON'T cut-out the inner portion of the arm (like the guys with bags do in order to lay frame) it is NOT as harsh as options one or two.

These are my options based on my experiences. All of which have held up to the abuse of a daily driver with no ill effects to the truck (the back ache doesn't count)!

I cut my bumpstops off of the mount, you can cut the bumpstop mounts off the frame completely? It sits on the a-arms after doing this? Please explain

No the bump stop un bolts one bolt in te center....take it out and cut it down

Aren't the rear bumpstops the only ones held on with u bolts? I thought the front bumpstops were on a mount welded to the frame?

The fronts are held in with one center bolt.......some people cut the whole mount mount it bolts to off...

the front ones are bolted to a mount welded to the frame, use a sawzall or a grinder with a thinner cutting disc (not a grinding disc) and cut the mount off as close to the frame as you can, then grind down whats left for a clean look...

What stops the tires from hitting inner fenders or what hits next with those mounts removed?
