what are you running up front? stock shocks? they dont bottom out? you dont feel it hitting lca?

Like I said before, do a balljoint flip and you'll gain about 3/4 of an inch between the LCA and the rubber stop mount and you'll still be at the same ride height.

Doesn't a balljoint flip lower the front even more? I don't have a working grinder to remove the recessed portion or I'd have already done it and know for sure.

I'm running 185/70-14s up front, stock shocks that bottom out when I jump up and down on the front bumper, but the lca only hits if I hit a huge pothole going too fast, which is seldom. Or like tonight when there's a horrible bridge transition on the highway.

Yes, the balljoint flip will make the truck lower by 3/4 of an inch. Imagine that you put your truck up on jackstands. Now imagine your LCA not moving at all. Next imagine that you do a balljoint flip which makes the wheel/spindle move up into the wheel well (lowering the truck more). Now to make the truck ride at the same height as it was before, you tighten up the torsion bars to "raise" the truck back to the ride height it was before. BUT, the LCA will now be FURTHER away from the bump stop by 3/4 of an inch, making the ride more tolerable.

And yes, you'll need to cut the "hump" off the top of the LCA to do the balljoint flip.

another question, most likely stupid, but what if i took out the stops but not mounts and let it ride hitting the lca? how long before structural damage?

not gonna do it. jus wondering.

The last entrance it's what made me question the drop.

I'm already below my scrub line since I run 14s i'm hesitant to go lower without slightly larger rims.

You wont be any lower...

You will be at the exact same ride height as you are right now.

You will have more usable space between your lower control arm and the stop mount so your teeth wont rattle out when you hit a bump.
