Yeah i understand that but eh, with my luck i'd bust every single piece of my spline lmao j/k but about my luck is, and i understand you have to turn the torsion bar ( clockwise, passenger, counter for drivers,) But the brackets that mount against the control arms, does the spindle turn inside the bracket, or do i have to remove that bracket and turn the one spline and slip it back on? the write up i seen on here was well written just still a little lost on it, do i have to move any brackets after its turned or should they line right back up?

Take the torsion bars off the truck WITH the bracket still attached to the bar. When you get it off clean the end of the splines and mark where it is, remove the bar from the bracket and turn 1,2, or 3 teeth (I did 2 and was perfect before mono leafing might go 3 now that I am) after you turn X amount of teeth in the correct direction put the splines back in the bracket. After that just re install the bar onto the truck starting with the bracket to the lower control arm then after there tight get your back bolt in and started. The farther in or out that back bolt is adjusts the tension on the bar affecting the height. A little fine tuning and you'll get both sides =. Very easy, the most important thing to remember is wd40 is your friend and mark the splines before removing the bar. After you remove it once you'll be able to do it in 10 minutes. And no, everything lines back up just the same after you turn the splines.

Ahh, well i may attempt this later this morning, i have a almost perfect level spot by my garage on the driveway, if i mark where my back bolts are at now and can kinda get them in that same general setting, after turning the splines, would it still drop or would i need to let it out a little more than it his already?

Yes it would still drop and that's a good idea, I believe my back bolt is about half way in but I've adjusted both sides a bunch and lost track lol take your time and watch what you do and you'll be just fine. I'll check on this page threw out the day if you have any other questions

Well, i got both sides turned one spline, i hit bump stops right away, like the way the truck looked but the ride wasn't as smooth as it was, so i turned them back to where they where originally, I want to drop it a little more but still get a good ride quality, i'm thinking of flipping my ball joints in the next couple months, going buy all new moog BJ and the izuzu pup front shocks, any tips on the year of pup shocks to get? and if i hit bump stops after doing the flip, would i have to just take out my bump stops or cut them? and i plan on adding another 1" plate in the rear maybe a 2" not sure yet.

I may have over looked this somewhere searching, but which direction do you turn the bolts on the back end of the torsion bars to raise or lower? I think i may be right but turning them counter clockwise ( passenger and clockwise ( drivers) would lower them, and the opposite to raise it back up? Just curious, ordering some djm lowering control rms, along with 2 inch drop spindels within next few months ( along witth seeking out a KA23DE as well lol) but this will probably be first along with new izuz pup shocks or some of the shortest monroes i can find.

Turning the bolts in will raise the truck and loosening the bolts will drop the truck. Now if u mean the torsions then Idk which way. I just looked at them and did one side then turned the other side the opposite way. Hope that makes sense...

I get what ya saying. and i just meant the bolts themselves not the torsion bars. now idk how far my bolt is at the current time, played with it a little but not very much was rather unsure on it's direction and what it would do.

Will probably be playing around with this a lot as I found the reason for my loss of oil was my rear cam seal, who ever put the head on used two different silicones, a blue and high heat red. A friend of mine said that these two don't bond very well when used together and both are wet, but if allow one to dry then apply will be fine. So for now till i get enough money to pay the garage bil, i just don't wanna deal with removing the timing belt and pulling the cam. She sits bleeeeh but oh well, this may give me more time to play with the tailgate lights and the drop.

Are your torsions reindexed? If not do that first... It's not good to have stuff hanging lower than the frame... Especially if you're lowering. Could catch on rail road tracks or bumps... Plus if they're too loose it kinda loosens your suspension. (ie it makes it softer so u feel more bumps, possibly hitting inner fenders with tire and or bumpstops or bumpstops mounts) just saying my torsions weren't reindexed when I got my truck and they just loosens the bolts and I have hit stuff with the torsion ends.. No Bueno man...

I'm pretty sure the torsions are indexed on it, the rear is on 3-4 inch drop blocks, and the front matches, but like said i'll figure it all out, gonna be on jackstands this morning, may even do a bigger block if mine is only 3 in the rear.
