anyone have any hints they would like to share. im taking the doors off of the truck to do this.. gutting them etc. only thing left in them would be the glass... is it safe to do this with the glass in it.. if i tack 4-6 spots n let it cool for a while then go back do 4-6 more?

I would use AutoLoc for your actuators and remote system. They come with everything and are bullet proof. Also, always use a manual door release on one of the doors. I used a 93+ S10 hood release cable and handle. Costs about $13 and looks like factory.

i know a guy that builds hotrods out here and he put an extra set of battery terminals under his bumper so if the battery died he could hook up abooster cables so he could open the door

i got the emergency popper cable from autoloc. ran it from my door through the fender and into the engine bay, you can access it from under the truck
just for a hint, i mounted my solenoids (horizontally) right next to where the arm rests are at. they are at a great sopt, and get plenty of pulling power right there.

roll ur windows all the way up and cover them with newspaper and it shouldnt hurt and always cover up ur side mirrors,a nd what tornado was saying USE THE EMERGENCY BUTTON THEY PROVIDE YOU WITH, just remember to get it water proofed and dont put it on the inside of ur frame because if ur truck lays out then how u gonna get it? but ya i recommend the emergency button
