i got my paint today. its a gallon of 2005 chevy trailblazer blue. its a really smooth color. paid $250 for a "bucket deal" it has everything i need but primer and thats free for me.
all paint/clear and additives for that
masking paper 24" wide
masking tape 3 rolls (2 1" and 1 3")
my choice of a pack of 400, 500 or 600 grit (i got 400)
a bucket for when i wash it
tack cloth
some other stuff and i get to keep everything but the underlined.
yall think i got a good deal?

Ehh...I can get gallons of Omni basecoat for $60 or less. But Id never use their clear. With all the other things you go with it, you saved maybe $10-$20. The Omni clear will not have as good of a shine to it and will go downhill alot sooner than a good clear. Omni is something you use when you want a cheap paintjob to look decent for a while and last a couple years.

well the clear coat is ass dont get it. the bed n amp came out great w/ no runs but the cab....WHOLE NOTHER STORY. its ran like hell. were outa school and i was gona bring it home monday night n put my system in it on tuesday but i donno if we can have it done by then. it looks like water falling off of the front of the hood. damn but we will make it come out nice...i hope. a buddy of mine painted the wheels on his 01 gt black and used my clear and it ran like hell to. but the base is good just dont buy the clear. - bf

It shouldnt run any worse than any other clear. It just doesnt have the shine and durability of a good clear. What are you using to reduce it with (#'s) and what ratio?

well i havent done this. my autobody teacher (who is a realllllly good painter) painted it. im sure he mixed it right but i donno y it ran then. -bf
