Well i have been filling my brain with so much info, so when i get my truck i will know what im doing
so now i fuigured would be a good time to ask what are the different kind of BD's my friend is doing a stock floor, but i dont really know what he means by that.

stock floor bodydrop is when the frame under the cab is replaced with smaller tube and the mounts are moved down the amount of the body drop.....the transmission hump has to be raised, but that is the only floor mod required

thanks, so what other kind of BD's are their? and what do you guys think is the best way to do it?

all depends on if you wanna do it.

and what your skill level is.

a traditional cut floor bodydrop is the easiest......

there really are only 2 kinds of bodydrops, cut floor (traditional) and stock floor

you can channel it and just raise the floor above the frame rails and move the body mounts down.

ok, thanks guys.

or you can do both

ill probably do the cut floor, chop it 3.5" so i will have .5" of overlap, to weld it together.

so on the cut floor you need to relocate the mounts?

and does anyone have a tutorial or a write up of this type of BD.

thanks.
