So I scored some Denali rims from Peter of S.I.C....well i read in several different places that the hubs needed to be bored to 3.5" so i have the old tires unmounted, and i send the rims to the machine shop. Well today, i went and bought tires for the rims and stopped by the machine shop to see if by chance the rims are done....to my suprise, they are... So i head back to the tire place to get them mounted balanced and installed... after an hour of waiting for my turn to get my shit mounted on the rims they come to me and tell me that the rims wont fit on the truck, THE HUB BORE IS TOO SMALL!!!! I was pissed.. so i take them back to the machine shop, and get everything measured..come to find out the damn hub is 3.67" not 3.5 so i have to pay the machine shop AGAIN to bore the wheels out!!!!!! I hate paying for shit twice....

ok im done ranting

yes that shit sucks, i know exactly how you feel, well i guess you now know not to take anyones word, just measure it yourself, at least its taken care of now though

yeah, if i was thinkin i would have measured to be safe..but honestly i saw it like in a half a dozen places that it was 3.5 oh well..lesson learned

well it could have been worse...
like they could have tried to drill another lug hole in the rim, or bored all the lug wholes... haha

lol..yeah I guess...

hmmmmmm well i got them back from the machine shop today, i had them bore the hub out to 3.75 and they fit perfectly, so im a little happier now at least im rollin o 17's

lets see them on the truck!!! post some pics!

you can also just grind the tabs on the truck hubs and axles to fit the wheels

yes that will also work. when you do this, make sure to get buldge lug nuts since they are needed for the GM wheels.

only problem you may run into is that if you place your factory wheel back on, it may not be perfectly centered since the stock wheels rely on the hub to be centered.
