im pretty sure your still goin to have to have a drive shaft made unless you build the frame around the lenght of the drive shaft... which shouldnt be a big problem even if ytou have to have a drive shaft made all the one i have made for my 11 inch lifted ranger were all less then $150

if the carrier bearings are in the same place in the reg and ext cab models, and your putting a reg cab bed on... well, sounds like it would work.
a carrier bearing is a carrier bearing, and if makes sense that you could take a reg cab driveline from the carrier bearing back and the reg cab bed... hmm.. don't see why not.??

did some more research today...

a ex cab like mine is 117.50" wheelbase
a single cab is 109.30" wheelbase

a ex cab is 193.50" in length
a single cab is 177.60" in length

a ex cab is 30.25" from back of cab to center of wheelwell
a single cab is 39.50" from back of cab to center of wheelwell (using someone elses dimensions)

what i got... i got 4x4 bed and fenders and i wanna put them on my truck, but being the ex cab, i can't atm because i'm not sure it'll fit...

can someone measure a single cab rear driveshaft, so i can compare it to mine?

The beds are the same length whats different is the wheel well location. the Std cabs wheel well is further back than the Ex cab. So It wont fit with out mods. you can ether move your axle back or cut the front of the bed off.

can i say somethin?

THAT WAS FOUND OUT A LONG TIME AGO!!! I'M NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE BED/AXLE LOCATION...

I'M TRYIN TO SEE IF THE DAMNED REAR DRIVESHAFT FROM THE SINGLE CAB WILL FIT AND PUSH THE REAR BACK AN ADDITIONAL 9"!!

IF IT WILL, I CAN PUT THE REAR DSHAFT IN ALONG WITH A 4 LINK AND MAKE IT FIT!!!

sorry pont, your information was useless...
