a few years ago, i had a friend die and we did some body work and repainted his lifted toyota, as kind of a memorial, put his initials on the gas door, and gave the truck to his sister.
anyway, we wanted to put our names on the inside of the door or somewhere inconspicuous and clear over it.
well, clearcoat contains reducer, which kills sharpie, or magic marker or paint pen. so if you want it to turn out, go EASY with the clear coat in that spot. we still did it, but made a few practices on other things to make sure it turned out good

or couldnt you have airbrushed your names then cleared? btw,that is a sick sick sick truck. So clean!
