I shouldn't have any problem with the law by moving my gas tank to the back of my truck under the frame with the filler neck inside the box??
im in bc canada if any one knows i would appriciate it.

also something way off this topic. Im going to install my notch today should i install my four link right now so i just have to add bags or should i just wait till winter till i get my bags??

your going to need your bags before you put your 4 link in

sorry, i dont' know your law about gas tanks, but i will give my opinion on your other question.
It wouldn't hurt anything if you installed your notch and 4link with the leaf springs in. actually it could be a good thing, because you would have the support of the leafs, but absolutely no axle wrap because of the 4link(not such a big issue with a mazda). it should work just like factory. you can't run just the 4link and take out the leafs for obvious reasons tho just be sure to have your estimated new ride height figured out when you install the 4link, and have the lower bars parallel to the ground.

i thought it was ovious i was going to leave my leafs in. thats why i never said but ya im going to leave the leafs in and install my four link now so i have less work later

just set the 4 link up and then remove the bars. the reason most people dont do what you are saying is because the lower bars go where the leafspring is now.

i was going to put them just inside my frame, but ill just wait untill i get my bags so i don't skrew up

i disagree. i don't think its a good idea to put the bars where the leafspring perches are. you'll drag thru them and be REALLY sorry. it's smart to run them inboard of the frame rails. out board will limit your tire and rim choices,

i wasnt talking about in the stock leaf spring perch, but behind it a ways, my lower bars are 18", and i can clear a 20 if i had room in the wheelwell. i dont think any wheel that will fit a mazda is gonna have a problem running the lower bars under the frame.

thats just my $.02

i'll give this a go, you should be ok to put in in the rear of the truck, just make sure that you have some kind of frame or bar on the back side of it to protect it incase you get rearended, you don't want it to be like the ford pintos were...."things that go boom!"
the only other issue is if you were going to cover the bed, if so, you would need to vent it to the outside so fumes don't collect under the cover & have that same result......"things that go boom!"

as for knowing for shure if you will have any probs with the po-po, it's best to check with the local d.o.t. or if you happen to know your friendly neighborhood ossificer, ask him & he will be able to tell you.
