removing box??

we're minitruckers...why hasn't anyone mentioned our good friend the sawzall yet? lol

i cut my bed floor out around the notch with a sawzall but there just aint enough room to get a sawzall in to cut those bolts off

My mistake, I don't know why but 6 bolts just stuck out in my head!

i got all the bolts out!!! Now is there a main clip for the wiring harness i need to disconect or do i have to take my tail lights off the box?? I looked around and found a few clips but not one just for the whole harness, is there one???

if you unhook the little harness clips, there are plastic brackets that keep the wire tucked beneath the box.........if you take the wire out from them it should come off with ease......


maybe i'm stunned but i can only see 6 bolts on both my extended cab boxes, not 8?

mines a standard cab mayb theres only 6 on the extended cab and my question is do i have to unhook them individually or is there 1 clip where they all meet so then i only have to unhook the whole harness at once instead of in different locations?

I would assume the wiring is the same for the two, but if i remember right there is 2 brake light connectors and 2 connections for the (2) liscence plate lights

i got everything unhooked from the box. i started lifting it with a hoist and noticed it was catching in the front passenger corner and i looked and the filler neck has a brace coming off it conected to the box, so i have to take that off 2morrow cuz its too dark 2day and then i should have my box off and ready to install the notch ill try to get pics wit my phone when i get the box off and after i install the notch
