you can do it for about 5 bucks. go to your local hardware store and pick up some cable and the cable lock ring things. run the cable under the fender through the door to the latch. when it is time to open the door just reach under the fender and pull the cable. that is how my black truck is. i bought the shaved kit from matt and grantkustoms and installed it but it doen't work. it worked for a day and doesn't work anymore. i think it needs a new brain.

i see your point, my truck was my daily and both were shaved and i hated it, maybe if it wasnt my daily i wouldnt mind, oh well lol i agree with you though, i just think functionability..

it'll be temporary til i get poppers... this is why i need to do somethin...

i pulled up to work yesterday, and there were a couple guys lookin at my ride. so i rolled up the windows, dropped the front, locked the doors and got out...

but i forgot somethin...

my keys were still in my switch.

so after work i called my pops, he brought his tools, i used a flat blade to pull the lock out enough to get a pipe wrench on it. i twisted the lock until it broke, and i unlocked it manually. in the process, i made a hole in the door.

so i am gonna get some sheet, cut a square out of hte door, and i'm gonna use a magnet behind it, and weld it in. that'll shave the lock.

maybe i'll just shave the lock... hmmmm...

I just got done shaving my passenger door, I thought about both but I dont have a kit either.. I dont ever have anyone ride in truck, well when its on the road that is... I wouldnt shave both until you have a kit or do like like he said about the cable and all that, prolly better than a kit still open the door when battery is dead

I don't use poppers, had lots of problems with them, all i do is go to the auto wrecker and get the lock rods out of a ford ranger or several other fords, the inside push lock part. it has a screw on crome cap on it. and it just bend the rods and hook them up to the latch inside then have them come out outside the window, pretty easy i think, then i just get an alarm with power locks, heres a couple pics of what my mazda has, except now mine are moved to the front because of the suicide doors
