double cab vs. single cab... are the beds the same?

My bed is done on my double cab, and i was wondering if a single cab has the same bed and dimensions (same) and are interchangeable....

they are the same in length and over all diameter but the wheel position is differant so you can not just put it on the truck. Sorry bro they are not interchangable with out some fab work.

The ext cab beds are 1-1.5" shorter.

Some fab work? man thats alot to move 2 quarters for jus an 1-1 1/2

they move more than that and all you have to do is get a set of quarter sides for the truck you put them on, and thats alot of work.

As do I, std cab 2wd and 4wd bed, and 2 ext cab 4wd beds

When you say double cab do you mean a 4 door. or just a plan run of the mill ex cab (just 2 doors). Cause if it is a true Double cab then the bed is way shorter

I just went out and measured my 2 trucks because I was curious. My '87 extended cab bed is 74.5 inches and my '87 standard cab bed is 76 inches. You learn something new every day.

so whats the final word? the ext cab bed is an inch and a half shorter?
