well red is one of the most expensive colors (something to do with the pigments costing more) ....i know the dupont paint we use we reduce it one to one (half paint-half reducer) so if you buy 2 quarts of paint and 2 quarts reducer you get a gallon of sprayable paint per color.... but remember all paints mix differently..... so call a few paint stores and ask lots of questions

does anyone have a really rough guess as to how much because i have no clue. is it like $500 or $1000 or more something like that??

I'd assume $500 possibly less. I highly doubt even close to $1000.

alright thanks. im going to wait till it warms up and start painting in spring time. but for now im going to be straightening out the body and doing some bodywork.
