20 wont draw much attention..as for the laws her in wash at least where i live tint over 35% on driver view windows is a secondary law meaning they wont pull you over for too dark but if you get pulled over for anything else they will nail you for it

lol, I got pulled over in my RSX with 20% tint. It was 630 in the morning and the sun had barely even thought of coming up. I passed 2 cops on the OPPOSITE side of the highway that were talking about about 5 mi. down the road one came flying up behind me...pulled me over and said "I noticed as you were driving by that your tint looks too dark so Im going to test it." It ended up testing 12% even though I have 20% and he gave me a ticket.

I took it to court and the attorney looked at it and, I quote, said "I hate it when they get bored...you can go" and he threw it out. Im sure it helped that I was in my Navy uniform lol.

I bet I've had more tint tickets than all you guys combined.

On my first maz, I had two layers of 5% on both door windows and the rear window, and half way down the front window. Not only is it illegal, but your truck will no longer pass inspection. I love 20% film, but if it keeps me from getting an inspection sticker, I cant have it. I dont want to have to re-do it every year.

I worked at a tint shop for a long time. All we used was 3m, because of the bubbling and purple-ing the other brands do. Buy the best film you can find. You will thank me for it.

go with 20%, i had 5% before and it was way too dark at night and i originally put 35% on my mazda but immediately ripped it out because it was way too light. i then put 20% on and loved it. in my town, i get pulled over all the time for retarded shit(license not parallel to ground, no rear bumper...) and i have never gotten a ticket for tint. i live in WA too.

dunno if you've ever tinted befor or not but a lil trick to make it easier to get the bubbles out.... squirt sprayer and a drop or two of dawn.... spary enough to mist each window.... it helps a ton....

^^^someone had told me that too and it made the world of a difference on the bubbles.

I have installed graphics onto the side of cars before (same as tint) and you use a mix of isopropyl alcohol, water, and a few drops of dish soap.

I ordered some precut tint off of ebay a few days ago and will install it one of these weekends so we will see how easy it is and if it holds up.

I've been tinting windows for about 5 years now and the best lubricant we've found is a few drops of Johnson's no more tears baby shampoo.
