These are pretty easy to mount. The lights have three threaded adjustment rods moulded to the back. Locate where the rod will hit the core support and drill three 1/4" holes per light. Mount with nuts and washers. The hard part for me was cutting the grill to fit around the lights. I made it worse by installing a piece from an old grill in between the lights.

the 01-04 lights look sick what kind of work is involved in getting them to fit and wired up properly ????

i would guess wiring would be simple, jus cuttin the stock bulb sockets off and soldering the ranger ones on.

The 01 lihgts are killin! that w/ the tacoma bumper that drops down in the middle, then custom cut a billet grille that'll drop down to the bumper..... mmmmmm

Someone did do a small write up on them when they did theirs. Basically just trim out the grille so the lights will fit and mark on the core support where the bolts for the lights line up, drill the holes for it and wire the harness in. It seems to be a real easy mod to do. I will be doin it when I get the money to get the headlights.

cool ya i just went to the wreckers and got both lights the right and left and all four pigtails (the wires for the headlight its self and the turn signals all for 180 cdn. i dunno if thats a good deal or not but i wanted them so i got them lol
where did you find this write up i looked maybe just not hard enough hahaa

It wasn't really a write up. I think it was someone from Hawaii posted up his and someone asked how he did it and he briefly explained. Even still it doesn't seem like it would be real hard to do. Tricky part sounds like it would be cutting the grille straight. I guess a wiring diagram would be good to see.

If someone hasn't done it by the time I can do mine I will do a step by step with pix.

well now i have the grill cut to fit and i know how to wire it but now the part im sort of slowing down on is actually installing them so that i can adjust them and what not.
when i went to the wreckers to get the lights out of the ranger they had these slip clips holding the light assembly in so i took the clips too but i dont have a spot on my truck for them obviously so im just wondering how i should go about it ...?

I was debating goin to the wreckers and gettin the daytime running light set up and all.
There must be an aftermarket universal kit out there that hot rodders are using already thats plug n play ?
