Oh this just came to mind. You could make a tounge and grove setup also. You would get a good seal from that.

i live in northeastern ky. and no joke, it has litterally rained for like the last 5 days
which makes me a little uneasy with building a roadster

im gonna try to design a latch, a buddy mentioned a tongue and groove setup to me

my last s-10 me and a friend were drinking one day and decided "hey, lets make your truck a removable hartop" so we get out the body saw and start hacking away and finally wind up with this

if you do this without a kit, do a how-to because i plan on doing the same with a tongue and groove.

I wish I took more pics just remember on the back frame to put support across the back of the cab to hold her stiff.

Wow, that has to be irritating as fuck to have the cover plate hitting you in the shoulders.

Hm, im thinkin about the same thing to my next truck, ive had 2 roadsters, and BOTH have been a pain because of rain. I am looking at a cab plus myself, and wanted to figure a way to cap off everything with steel, and then put something there to seal it really good. I have a plan for the back/sides, but the front im really blank on, i still want it to look ok, and not hacked, but i want it to be sealed too! LOL

How do you keep the top of the windows sealed? weld the cut portion to the roof?

IF i do it, i will make sure to do a how-to.. but it wont be untill the spring..
