another good place for sheet metal is washer & dryer panels. i take it when some one throughs them out

well i took 'em to my friend. he said i just gotta round the corners on 'em a lil more and he can do it no problem. if i ever git a job i'll be gittin the shave kit so i dont gotta leave my window down.

those panels look really look for a first try.

and yeah, washers and dryers are a good source of metal...as are old furnaces and oil tanks.

if chevys are so good why are you always looking for parts and going to junk yards to find chevy parts...Fords are in salavge yards and chevys are found in junk yards

i'm thinkin after i git this shapin/cuttin/gridin down, i might try to make me some cabcorner fillers cuz mine are all rotted out.

oh yeah, i got them to bend PERFECT! they are exactly the same as the panel HEHEHEHE used the top of the bench grinder and pushed with my hands until they layed smoove on the body.

i was watching Trucks! on tv the other day and they were showing you how to shape and bend metal in your own agarge without using special tools. they made a nice metal brake using c-clamps and a piece of angle iron, lol and you could adjust it to make curves and stuff. it was pretty ingenius.

What's wrong with Fords? My 2002 Mazda "Ranger" has nearly 400 000km on the original engine! (387k to be exact at the moment)

Fords are the best

My 2.5 V6 Contour was at 301k KM when I junked it and my 2.0 Zetec Contour was at 284k KM when I junked it and they were both running strong too.

Worst vehicles I've had have been GM's. My Cadillac crapping out at 164k KM, and my 3 Isuzus all with knocking rods, seized motor or headgaskets.

Mazdas, haven't been that great...rotaries had issues, and all my B's had major problems.

People knock Fords, but out of owning Ford (3 Contours and 02 B4000),GM (Catera,Rodeo,Troopers),pre-ford Mazdas (B2200s,B2600i,FC RX7s),Nissans (Hardbody 2.4) and Toyotas (Celicas),honestly, the Fords have given me the most trouble free experience.
