oh okay yeah I have seen that happen here, local popo just said it needed at least a red reflector

The plain red bulbs aren't a very bright red, and the gel caps fade, and start lookin pinkish. I like the led bulbs myself

i got red led's in both the turns and brakes. cops followed me yesterday and didn't have a problem... yet. they're not my biggest fans. the problem with the clears is the lack of a red reflector which by most laws is requiered. thats why alot of them new cars with clear tails have the red spot in 'em. plus you can't have rear facing white lites while the vehicle is moving forward, or forward facing white lites other than the headlites. atleast in ohio thats how the law is. also not supposed to have blue lites on the front but the corner lites on my 91 caprice are blue.

Yeah, they just atleast want a reflector, but the cop that bitched me out said the entire lens needed to be red and then I all cocky and questioned her on the laws pertaining to new vehicles like VWs and Lexus' with all clear tail lights.

She didn't like that too much,so proceeded to go over my truck finding everything else wrong with it and called my truck "a rolling ticketbook" and "unroadworthy."

Here is a pic of my clears on my beater truck with the bulbs painted red with the Duplicolor MetalCast paint and with red gel caps. In this pic, just the parking lights are on. I tried LEDs but found them way too small and not bright at all. You could barely see them.
